Real count, and it will stay the real one. It gets useful when the people you already work with are on it — which is why joining is by invite.

How it works

  1. 1You mark the days you are booked. No client, no event.
  2. 2Others search a date and a district, and see who is free.
  3. 3After the gig, both sides rate each other.

Never

  • A cut of your money. Payments settle between you, off the platform.
  • Your client list. Names, contacts and events are never asked for.
  • Rank by who you know. The council sets rates and settles disputes. It buys no position in search.

Your rate is your floor

You publish what you charge. If someone books you below it, OpenDates says so in front of both of you. It does not block the gig — but nobody gets to quietly pay a junior a third of their rate and call it the going price.
